During this transition, a close family member of Mr. Del Rossi’s died of HIV infection. As a result of this event, Mr. Del Rossi decided to become a Physician Assistant, specifically providing health care to individuals with HIV infection. Mr. Del Rossi completed the Physician Assistant Program at MCP Hahnemann University (now Drexel University) in 1998, continuing on to complete a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska in 2002. Mr. Del Rossi is seeking to continue his education today, pursuing a doctorate in Health Psychology.
During his Physician Assistant education, Mr. Del Rossi was able to complete a self-developed internal medicine rotation at University of California’s Ward 86. Ward 86 is one of the oldest and largest HIV/AIDS clinics in the United States. It is an internationally recognized center of clinical excellence and standard-setter of HIV care and a pioneer of important medical and scientific advances.
Since his graduation from MCP Hahnemann in 1998, Mr. Del Rossi has had the privilege of working with several of the largest HIV care providers in the nation. Mr. Del Rossi is a board certified HIV specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine.
As a result of his interest in the treatment of lipoatrophy with Sculptra, Mr. Del Rossi continued to expand his knowledge of the aging process, especially considering the association between HIV and accelerated aging, and became a board certified anti-aging specialist by the American Academy of Anti-Aging in 2010.
In addition to his work at the Rossi Wellness Center, Mr. Del Rossi is a guest lecturer at several area universities such as Arcadia University, Salus University, and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
